The people here are amazing and salt of the Earth. Great hospitality, good drink menu (even though I didn’t order one) and the food was spot on. Stuffed mushrooms were incredible, they cook steaks over charcoal. Five stars for me and that doesn’t happen very often!
Great steak! Interesting decor. I haven't been here in a several years and decided to go back and take my husband who has never been there. The courses were the same as before: good potato soup, delicious homemade rolls delivered in a lunchbox, (mediocre) salad and a wonderful, juicey steak with an average baked potato. The biggest shock is that the prices have gone up a lot. This will only be a restaurant we visit rarely because of the high prices but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Filet Mignon was amazing. Could cut it with a butter knife. It was my birthday so I got some pumpkin cheesecake and it was SO good. They only serve it in the fall so get it when it's available!
Good food. Classic oil boom decor. Simple menu. Can pick your own cut of meat. Everyone at the table stopped talking once the main course arrived. Its gotta be good if it can get that many people to shut up for 10 minutes.
We really enjoyed The Spudder. It was my birthday and I've been wanting to try it out. Service was great from our initial greeting through the entire meal. Waitress even helped me select the steak in the case. The fillet was cooked perfect in my opinion, you could honestly cut it with a fork! Good coffee to go along with a nice slice of carrot cake topped off the meal nicely. Great place. It was our first time there and as wife puts it, " it's a do over". So we'll be back!
