They don't care if you get food stamps or not, they will still help you. I'm not sure why they told you that but I wouldn't doubt it. I went here last week and I haven't been in two years. Two years ago, I had a very miserable experience to say the least, I said I would never come back because one of the staff members were being incredibly rude to me as I was asking her a questions and she literally had me in tears!!! I complained to another employee about how I was being treated and, of course, nobody cared and nothing was done. I went back last week and thought I would try them again since I was in desperate need of assistance. Had an appointment, went in and signed in and told was told by the lady in charge that there was no appointment for me and I must have gotten a call from someone else and not by anyone from harvest house. In tears again, I was told I would be in the cancellation list if I wanted to wait and see if another appt time opened up that someone didn't show up for. I agreed to wait with my children and as I was waiting in the lobby another woman showed up without an appt and the woman in charge told her the same thing, that she could wait to see if she could get in to get some groceries. After thirty minutes of waiting the racist woman in charge walked up to the lady after me and stated to her that she had a 12:45 appointment and she could go on in. I was FURIOUS!!! The woman in charge must have new this other woman is to why she let her go on in and LIE that she had a 12:45 appointment when she clearly didn't. I heard every word the woman in charge told this lady, and that she would be number 4 as I was number 3 on the cancellation list and she'd be after me if she could get her in. HOW CHRISTIAN WAS THAT!!! I was beyond mad at that point when I sat there for two hours and someone else that came in after me was allowed to go in before me then to top it off, the woman in charge played stupid telling this other customer to go on in that she had a 12:45 appt. The customer was kinda dumbfounded that she was being told this because she knew damn well she didn't have NO APPOINTMENT!!! I was told after three hours of waiting that I could be seen that day to get assistance
BEST CHURCH EVER!
A praying church. Awesome!
I really enjoy the Charismatic prayer service on Wednesday nights! Great confession statement on health, wisdom, protection and all kinds of topics. The music is popular Christian worship music with a country twang. The Lord bless you!
but she failed to tell me that I could go in to do my paperwork so I sat there for another hour and the woman said, oh, did you do you paperwork already? I said no, no one told me to. She said oh you were supposed to do your paperwork. Now someone tells me. This woman was so rude and condescending when she talked to me. I was crying once again. She was more hateful than the last lady I had to deal with there. Horrible experience!!! Please go somewhere else if you need food assistance of clothing. There are tons of other places in Tulsa that you can go to that won't treat you like I was treated. I will never step foot back in that so called church ever again!!! They have mistreated me and my family for the last time!!! We are already down on our luck when we have to go to such place, we don't need anything added to it. Most of these agencies act like the food is coming out of their own cupboards anyways and its not worth the headache most the time.
Awesome time with God
