Our server Michelle was pretty attentive and overall the experience was good. Grits were not particularly hot though, and my friend said his country gravy was a little off. Considering it was later in the evening on a holiday I'll cut some slack and say it was a good CB, I would recommend to others who are traveling through the area.
Down home menu, friendly staff and really nice little gift store..I picked up a few really nice Christmas gifts..and some old fashion candy sticks.
Basically, we love Cracker Barrell. However, we went yesterday and left not too happy. My husband told our waitress he wanted ham steak, scrambled eggs , etc. When his order came on the plate was a hamburger steak. When he mentioned that this was not what he ordered, the waitress said, Well, this is what we consider a ham steak. Excuse me. She was kind enough to at least give us our drinks free. But I think a ham steak and hamburger steak are a little different.
The manager, Ellen, was beyond terrific. The food was good! Always filling.
Our waitress was terrible! Jo was the name on her apron tag.... I really cannot even say she cared for our table at all or that she was even our server. I️t was like everyone else was our server instead of her. The only interaction we had with her was when she kept asking to take my menu when she would walk by and at the END she asked if I️ needed anything before we go. I️ work in customer service, and I️ appreciate the stress of I️t. I’m giving this place a 5Star because the rest of the team picked up all her slack. Chase, another girl named Elena I️ think... and one more lady I didn’t catch her name - they were terrific! One got our order, one brought the food out and checked on us, and the third brought us an extra item that we needed. But our “assigned” server was very disappointing. I️ want to for sure give kudos to the teamwork of the team members mentioned above and to the manager for their excellence though! One experience isn’t going to push us away from being your customers!
Awesome dinner! Our waitress Kimmie was excellent, got everything perfectly correct, took really good care of us, and was so friendly. Tried the pecan chicken it was delicious and this time the mashed potatoes were warm enough to melt butter. It's the little things!
