I understand when it's too busy restaurants have to use the microwave.. So decided not to complain and continue to enjoy our dinner.
The only reason they even got 3 stars from me is because Tulsa is lacking overall in the good fine dining steakhouses in general.
Was so excited to see that one was opening in Tulsa as it had been long overdue. Sorry to say the Tulsa location lacks the consistency in quality and service. Very disappointed. Went to soft opening and was unimpressed. Waited awhile to return thinking time would allow them to work out the kinks. Disappointed time after time.
To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we decided to enjoy a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak house... BAD IDEA.
DISAPPOINTING
As I started to ordering dinner I felt like I'm ordering off a fast food counter where you don't get any response from your server except correcting you by saying well its a mistake on the menu! Seriously! I'm not spending $150 on a meal to get a $5.99 experience. Anyways... It's our anniversary evening and I pushed my patience to the limit.. After we ordered and dinner is here... They set our plates on the table without telling its freaking our of the broiler.. Burning my fingers on the steak plate. Again continuing dinner.. Garlic mashed potatoes was way below average... Same as our soup.. Felt like being microwaved no flavor at all. Steak was full of flavor, undercooked but no big deal.. Desert was ok.
Being in the food industry over 15 years I can summerise that there is a huge managerial issue in such a restaurant.. Felt the miss connection between staff that reflect bad service. Not looking forward to come back again!
Went here before a concert with friends. We were there for happy hour and had burgers and the chicken sandwich. Burgers were okay but could barely find the chicken on the chicken sandwich. The $14 cocktails were watered down. Disappointing but the reason for the one star was the waitress actually told us they were starting the concert 30 minutes early so we would leave! So we spent $300. On watered down drinks and okay food to be asked to leave basically. Could have gone anywhere else in Tulsa for that amount of money and had a really nice meal. Overrated chain and we won't return.
As a lifetime patron of the Ruth's Chris chain of restaurants, one of the things that has kept me loving it is the consistency and quality of every location across the country and world for that matter. Moved here from a city where I dined at one at least monthly if not weekly.
Good atmosphere, Great Steaks. Good service. Expensive but we felt that it was worth the cost. Wine selection is excellent.I had the T-Bone, my wife had the Petite Filet. The T-Bone was better. It was delicious. Don't worry about what to wear, lots of blue jeans.
Filet was spot on, asparagus side perfectly cooked. Only complaint would be that a med rare steak and asparagus shouldn't have taken quite so long to prepare and serve. Well worth the wait though.
Started amazingly with rose petals on our table and happy anniversary notes and amazing atmosphere.. However the wheels really fell off when we started to experience the service.. We ordered Lobster bisque soup... It was lukewarm (surprisingly one side is really cold) , bitter taste and feels like it came out of microwave.
Addendum to my earlier review: We really enjoyed the experience of Ruth's Chris, however, we had read that when patronizing because of a special event like an anniversary, they would provide a special dessert. We were asked if we wanted a dessert and we chose the chocolate duo, which I HIGHLY recommend. I was unsure whether or not there would be a charge or a discounted charge for the dessert, wasn't sure what to expect, but then they brought out our "Special" dessert which was perfectly served with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate along the edge. A pleasant surprise indeed, BTW, not sure what it was exactly, but appreciated. Then the bill came, I expected it to be an expensive meal so no shock there, but I did not expect the $5.00 charge for the anniversary dessert that I did not order on top of the other charge for the dessert I did order. Just a little forewarning for those that may want a specific dessert and happen to be there for an anniversary. If I were to do it over again, I would promptly decline the special anniversary dessert and put that towards another drink. Enjoy your meal!
I hope they eventually get up to standard because I have legitimate cravings for it and there really aren't any other places in Tulsa that can compare to a Ruth's Chris done correctly. However, I won't be paying their prices until I'm assured that they have figured out how to make it the way it's supposed to be. Bummer.
