I'm very new to colleting comics and saying to Mike he was willing to show me what to look for and was extremely helpful. Also he does like to barter which he can't do in some places. Definitely a place to go to regularly!

It's the Oldest continually operating Comic book shop in the country. And for good reason. The owner is passionate and knowledgeable and is also a collector. Don't come here for figures and sculptures and pop vinyls. You won't find them. This is a Comic book Collectors comic book shop. Back issues by the thousands. Hard to find back issues are easy to locate in the stacks of this amazing shop. You're stepping into the Early History of comic book collecting. It's an experience to shop here. And those that do and live close by, count themselves lucky that it's here. Wall comics galore. No slabs. And no junk cluttering up the place. 98% pure comics. You don't find anything better in the U.S.
Lots of comics and nice staff, the store can feel cramped, but personally I like the atmosphere.
Best selection. Best organization. Best grading. There is nothing worse than walking into a Comic Shop and seeing that they lump all back issues into one letter. Personally, i am not going to spend the time sifting through worthless Sigil books to find the one Superman comic they have. The Comic Empire has just about everything you could want, alphabetically!!! The way it should be. If you want good quality comics this is the place to go.
