Do NOT buy groceries from Nam Hai, since they sell lots of expired stuffs and refused to give you any exchange or refund. Many of their fresh things are put in the store for a long time, days, weeks or maybe months, especially those without a label and are difficult to tell form outside.
It has been years since I lived in Tulsa but I go back from time to time just to visit this market. It is my favorite market in all of Oklahoma. So many varieties of everything. Fresh live sea foods. Great vegetables selection. No matter how far I get away I will always come back to this market.
Go to Asian Mart instead, people there are more friendly, and most importantly, things are much much more fresh there and they don't sell any expired food...
What can I say? It's a market for foreigners. If you want a taste of home, there's bound to be at least one food; fruit, vegetables/root, or ingredient to your liking that gives you that satisfaction. But if you have a weak tolerance for smell, beware...this market has an unpleasant one. There's a butcher area in the back where they cut up fish and such...but all in all, great place to make you feel at home, whatever continent you're from.
On most days, you can expect to be welcomed by Islander music when entering the store. It pretty much covers anything anyone is looking for. My favorite isle is the Tea isle. You can find teas for helping grow hair, kidneys, and liver function, and many more.
The owner of the store said they don't have responsibility to keep what they sell fresh, and it is the customer's responsibility to make sure whatever they buy can be eaten/used, so so so ridiculous!!!!!!
Pretty cool stuff and groceries at good prices but the staff is hardly helpful. No one ever seems to know where things are or know how to answer questions.
