I would not recommend this Salon, or specifically stylist Rachel, because the cuts I receive are inconsistent. If I do not remind Rachel at the very beginning not to thin my hair out, my hair gets thinned out. The best cuts I have received from Rachel is when I remind her not to thin out my hair. I began seeing Rachel when she worked at another salon downtown. My first haircut with her was so good that I didn't go back for an entire year. When I did go back, I failed to remind Rachel not to thin out my hair, and my hair got thinned out. I was so disappointed in the way it laid that I asked for a recut. That was the first. When Rachel transferred to Metric I went in with a picture that I had written on it (with notes to myself so I would't forget to remind Rachel) not to thin out my hair. The cut was so cute. I went back about two months later so my cut could be shaped up. I failed to remind Rachel not to thin out my hair. She began thinning it, and I said oh, don't do that, and I don't remember what Rachel said, but she continued. In fact, one side was thinned out, and the other side was not. I was very unhappy, and my hair was so short that not much could really be done to fix it. I texted Rachel about how unhappy I was with this cut and that I wanted to give it a few weeks to get some length on it and come back in so she could fix it. She told me that I would be better off with another stylist. Thinking that time had passed and maybe she moved beyond this, I called yesterday to make an appointment, but I was told that Rachel does not want to cut my hair. What a way to stand behind your product and your client. I've always told Rachel she was the best person to cut my hair, but I am not happy when it gets thinned out. It doesn't lay right. I was perfectly happy with two cuts where my hair was not thinned out, and unhappy with two cuts where my hair was thinned out. In fact, Rachel would not even agree to look at this haircut. To me, that sends a message that she doesn't care about her clients.
RACHEL IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST STYLIST I HAVE EVER EVER HAD. She does everything I've ever asked for and always gives me exactly what I want and need. She is always on her best game and never ceases to amaze me. She always gives her ABSOLUTE BEST TO EVERY SINGLE CLIENT she goes to considering she has so many clients that walks away happy. She never turns down a client unless it's for THEIR own good and to move on to clients that appreciate her work. She is undoubtedly the best person and stylist I've ever experienced and I can't see ANYONE ever having a mean thing to say about her. She goes above and beyond for her clients and I love her so much for that. She really is the best stylist and the best person and I'm personally AMAZED at the work she does. Keep going sister don't let anyone let you dull your sparkle! Love love love Rachel!
Obviously the salon owner doesn't stand behind their customers either, or they would have invited me to come in and have someone else look at my hair.
Alyssa did my hair for my engagement pictures and wedding day. I loved them both times. She was so nice and engaging and really knows what she is doing.
Rachel is the absolute best!..! She always does a GREAT job.. I don't ever really have to tell her what to do and I always LOVE it when she is done. I've been going to her for several years. She also did my hair and makeup for my wedding. I highly recommend her :) thanks for always doing so great Rachel!
