Lets just put it this way, 3 west is a great area to be in while 1 west is absolutely awful. I would suggest only bringing your kid here if they have suicidal tendencies. For any other reason go somewhere else
I was in 1 west I hate it I did not get the help I needed I have had dreams about that place and no body cares and the family session he was like "You call your mom every night crying " he was like you need to grow up
I'm pretty sure therapists are NOT supposed to get angry. My therapist in 1 West I thought was pretty cool up until the family therapeutic session. But before that he told me he was on my side. I said to him, "Why are there two sides when it comes to familiar therapy? Shouldn't we come to our consensus?" He didn't really answer my question. But anyways in the family therapy session he would interrupt me everytime I talked, he would yell at me and tell me to grow up. I thought and felt that was a safe place to express my emotions but obviously I couldn't with him interrupting me. He would talk about his life story, he was very ignorant, he cursed a lot, he was unprofessional. He has been divorced three times but none of those times were his fault. Sounds funny doesn't it? He was straight to the point he. He didn't beat around the bush, he would rather beat you with the bush. At first I thought he was going to be a cool guy, but then I saw how he professionally handles problems, I wasn't impressed. Furthermore I only spoke with him two times, not counting the family therapy session, he was always in a hurry, we never finished talking. It was him always leading the conversation, it seemed like it was all about him. I'm not saying he didn't help me at all, but there could've been more done. If you're wondering who I'm talking about his name is Gary Quick. He also cusses a lot if I forgot to mention that. Thankyou.
I blackout alot and got and alot of fight probably 7 times a day and they did not do alot to help some of the staff thete are cool but back in 1 west some kid I fight tried stabbing me with a homemade knife I beat his ass tho but they did not do alot to calm me down and him and they slamed me one day when I blackedout by the neck and I got a bruise on my back
DO NOT GO THERE!! the place is so Nasty and GROSS
I personally have seen the change this place has made in someone's life. They do some great therapy work here!
