The technician then pulled up the manual for the machine and did show me that a washer was missing. He told me that whoever was refurbishing the machine should have added an extra washer.
2nd Wind offered no solution, apology, explanation for any of this whatsoever which says a lot about the company. I'm a gym owner and will not be using this company for anything fitness-related in the future.
After calling and explaining what their tech said, they offered no solution and basically said tough luck leaving me with no option but to spend $912.44 to fix the machine. Incredibly frustrating considering this machine cost thousands of dollars and the technician (SENT OUT BY 2ND WIND) looked at me and said, " I am not supposed to tell you this, but this was not refurbished correctly. It is missing a washer and that is why this machine broke."

I want to preface this review by saying I never leave negative reviews on businesses, but this is something that I feel needs to be said. I bought cardio equipment from 2nd Wind. One of the items was a stairmaster which is not cheap.
After owning the equipment for about six months, the stairmaster completely stopped working. They referred me to a repair company that they use which cost $180 for them to come out. When the repair tech came, I was told that this model of stairmaster was not assembled correctly and it was missing pieces which caused it to break.
I walked in and was immediately greeted however the sales rep never walked out from behind the counter. When I positioned that another location had the same deal on a threadmill with free shipping he seemed uninterested. After about 15 minutes therw and having the only person there stay on the computer the entire time we decided to leave.
