Over the years we have come to not only admire, but adore Julie and her staff. Kari is over my shoulder telling me to be sure to include that I have totally revised my first comment of Julie and come to look forward to seeing her and completely enjoy her very special brand of humor. She caught Suzette's cancer when no one else did and got us to specialists when needed.
Thirteen years ago when we took our first poodle, Suzette to Julie I went home and told Kari. "Julie isn't very friendly". To which she replied, "I don't care because Suzette loves her and she has never been groomed as well as Julie does her so give her a chance!"
So to that person that said Aurora Kennel was not a friendly place - give it a chance. I can promise that you and your animals will be glad you did.
I have been taking my Pomeranian to Aurora for over a year now. I love Julie and all of her employees. They know my sweet Panda by name and are always welcoming and professional. I have standing appointments for my dog and I have never once had any issues with her grooming. She is always so happy before and after her appointments. She runs in circles if I ask her if she wants to go see Julie! Their products they carry are top of the line and my pup always gets good reviews from the vet for her health and pretty teeth! Id recommend anyone to try out Aurora, because they are the only people I know I can trust with my delicate Pomeranian.
I want to personally thank Julie and her amazing team at Aurora Kennel for the unbelievable care they always give our pets. They always make our Jake feel as if he is a part of their own personal family. Aurora has the nicest and cleanest facility of any kennel I have ever been in. It is truly awesome to have them be a part of our families life knowing how important our fur babies are to us. We sometimes wonder when we pick Jake up if he truly wants to come home or not...LOL. Julie is a very nice and helpful lady! She gave me a tour of the shop. My dogs coat was chaotic and she did a nice job smoothing it out. She sent me cute pictures of him when he was done being groomed. She also gave helpful tips about which dog foods are best for your dog and the ingredients to avoid. She gave me a free bag of food. I highly recommend!
They may be good with dogs but seriously need to work on how they treat people. I just called for info to board my mom's dog and my dog (not happening!) and can't believe how rude the person was to me. I mentioned that their location was near my mom's company and that's why I chose to inquire with them and she immediatley cut me off saying that MOST people pick them because of their amazing Google reviews and kept going on about how great they are. She also treated me like a criminal for trying to get info for my mom boarding her dog. I get that she has to be the one to sign off to board her dog but the way I was talked to came off so rude, short and unprofessional.
