First off waited over 45 minutes to be seen. Then left in the exam room for another extended period of time. Doctor prescribed 2 different medications that were very expensive and have not worked either. Took them for several months and went back to see him only to be even more disappointed and told to stop taking the meds. He ordered a plain xray of the sinuses and it turns out he missed a sinus infection in my spenoid sinus. This was later found by a different doctor and a CT scan of sinuses. This doctor is rude, unsympathetic and said he didn't believe in any other medication on the market to help tinnitus. It seems as if he should retire. I only wish I would have read the reviews on this and other sites as most have had very similar experiences.
Rude, ignorant....blah blah blah. I went to see him because a previous doctor said I may have a tumor after an ultrasound and CT test showed so, so I was referred to him. As soon as he entered he says to me "what's the matter you never heard of swollen lymph nodes?" Mind you I was already told that it wasn't my lymph nodes. So I asked him did you even look at the tests and he said sure its right here and showed me a piece of paper (not an scan) that said I had a bump on my neck. When I told him where the bump was (not my lymph nodes) he said oh that's just the pulsation from your heart. I have a chemical engineering degree, a 140 IQ and I make over 6 figures, oh but I'm black, and this doctor talked to me like I was the worlds dumbest. LONG STORY SHORT I PAID $50 TO SEE HIM. HUGE WASTE OF MY MONEY AND MY TIME. He's an idiot!!!
Was referred to him by a Physician I trust for cronic throat problems. While being prepped for exam, the nurse sprayed a solution in my nose and throat that would allow Dr Puckett to insert a scope and examine my throat. I had a allergic reaction or a reaction to the solution. Burning in my nose, up the side of my face clear to the top of my head, my left eye became a inflamed red, I got light headed felt like my face was on fire. I reported it to Dr Pucket when he came in the room and he dissmissed it. As the reaction worsened I reported it again to Dr Pucket and he assured me that he had used that solution on thousands of patience and no one had ever had a reaction. He then dismissed me to go for blood work to be tested for the same thing my doctor had already tested me for without acknowledging the reaction. The lab staff noticed the reaction as soon as I walked in and detained me until they had somewhat subsided. The affects were noticable 5 hours later.
I was referred to this guy by my regular MD for recurring soat throat, flu like symptoms, swollen glands, and mucus. After waiting nearly 2 weeks to see him, taking a half day off, and paying $25 copay; he tells me that he isn't going to anything to help me, but to come back if I feel worse?? Like I am really going to do this?? Then he starts going on with an Army story, like I was interested?
I can not say enough *good* words for Dr. Jerry H. Puckett. My right ear went deaf. I was examined, and it was a total wax block. The good Doctor spent a long (VERY long) time with my cleaning process. , Then after the treatment and audio examination was done, he took time to visit about my ear health situation. Highly recommended. Best bed side manner on the planet. BTW, he has a first class staff. !!
