Security was a big issue. The room was located at the third entrance and the door was not functioning properly. You could not use your room key to enter. To solve this, the hotel allowed the door to remain UNLOCKED and OPEN during the day. At night, the door was locked but since you could not get inside with your key, you were forced to walk to another entrance to get into the building.
It's showing its age and could do with a facelift, cosmetically speaking, but as far as substance, it is clean and serves its purpose at a bargain if you're wanting to spend the night close to the airport. They have great, cheap bargains for leaving your car there too, even if you're not a hotel guest.
Rooms were decent. We had to change rooms because the air conditioner did not work. But the staff were apologetic and accommodating. The beds were clean and very comfy. I love their pillows and want to know where they get them. They have hit breakfast with sausage, eggs, bagels, etc. as well as standard continental items.
2) no elevator
I'm not sure how this hotel even made got listed as a 3 star.
3) the first room we checked into had blood stain on the pillow
The air conditioning/heater was so very noisy that we were forced to turn it completely off and use additional blankets to stay warm. The hotel was next to the airport and with the heater turned off, the noise from the planes was overly loud.
5) the toilet in our room did not work
1) huge potholes in the parking lot
Breakfast was the same items each of the 4 days we were there. Items such as biscuits and gravy were unseasoned and the gravy was so thin it appeared to be just milk.
The lights in the room were of low wattage and made working in the room difficult. We were very displeased and will not stay at a Clarion again.
Room was not very clean and the sheets had several holes in them. The TV did not work at first and we were told there was no one available to fix it so they would have to move us to a different room. Instead, my Husband was able to find the problem and fix the TV. The problem was that the HDMI cord was not plugged in. Any one looking at the TV would have been able to find this problem. The housekeeping staff left only 1 wash cloth for a family of two and did not leave coffee on the second day we were there.
This place was disgusting. The staff was great, but this hotel is a complete dump so lets list the amount of things that were wrong.
4) the room we changed to was a little bit better but not by much. The sheets were clean but one of the sheets had a small orange stain and the other sheet had a hole in it.
Solid value. This place is clean and has an outstandingly convenient location next to the airport.
6) the shower leaks and it actually leaked into the room through the wall the carpet was soaking wet.
Rooms are pretty basic. My only gripe was the maids started knocking on the door at 845 am. When we told them we had 1pm check out they kept coming back every hour and knocking again. Super annoying.
