Good hotel in an excellent location. Pretty convenient parking that seems to always have spaces available. As well they work with a lot of the events in town by being a main shuttle location. So during Oktoberfest weekend or similar, planning a nice weekend stay really works out. Make sure to plan way ahead, the hotel gets booked around the time of the major events.
Nice hotel but I have paid less for nicer. Staff was asleep when I went to check out. Nice pool. Decent rooms. Just 2 of us and tried to get single bed but wouldn't do it since we booked online, disappointing.
Enjoyed our stay. The staff was always helpful and courteous. The amenities were of good quality and everything was clean. The beds were very nice and we had a good view out our window. The only negatives were some noise through the walls and one of the elevators had a weird odor.
We can in for a weekend to attend a wedding... No one never stop by any of the wedding party rooms to ask if we wanted our rooms cleans. When I enter my room I only had a small amount of toilet paper on both holder. I was like, you joking right. So we call for tiolet paper and some very dirty looking person brings it to the door an don't ask to help replace the old rolls or anything. Just hand them through the door. We also had to ask for clean towels. I stayed at 3 star hotels and motels with better services than this. You guys are a 5 star Hotel with no Frig or Microwave. We was also told a $100.00 a night but for the price you guys need to seriously update your Double Tree Hotel by Hilton. I live in Houston, TX and I am very proud of your Double Tree Hotel Downtown Houston.
Free airport shuttle is not available if you arrive at1100pm. No published information warns you. By the time you finally find a way to the hotel, the bar is closed and the vending machine doesn't have any snack food. Since the layover in Denver was too short for a meal these guests went to bed hungry. A warm cookie doesn't cut it. Hotel staff needs to at least offer suggestions.
