In a pinch you were a cheap hotel for some unexpected family guests due to a family member's hospital emergency. Since you don't charge much Motel6 clearly has exactly the kind of business it wants. Appears to have Poor Maintenance Goals. Must over work and underpay staff, bc, the place STUNK!> literal Oder filled, dirty baby bottle in window, dirty socks outside of window. Felt very dirty, even though I'm sure staff just does the best they can with tools, time, supplies and equipment they have. We got what we paid for. A super cheap emergency place to stay. No Continental breakfast anything here, not even a whiff of coffee. We knew it was the bad side of the highway in a disreputable area. Additionally access was challenging. On the positive note: the few Staff members were very friendly and appeared to be hardworking. Motel 6 is what it is! - Not a place you want to stay.... a place you get in desperation.... you are thankful with a grimace.
Only because I have to give a star. First room had feces on the floor and in the toilet next room is dirty. Over the bar and the loud music. It is 1 am and I am traveling cross country I didn't realize I was staying at a night club. People yelling in the hallway. I've seen a prostitute and a few junkies. And cigarette butts next to the ice machine on the 2nd floor. I'm not sleeping well tonight knowing everything I own is in the parking lot
The maid responsible for cleaning rooms on the 2nd floor should be fired. I was first given a room where the bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned. A used soap bar was left in the tub, the toilet seat had hairs on it, & there were no bath towels. The beds were barely made with pillows tossed to the top. I highly doubt the sheets had been cleaned. I requested another room because of these issues & was given one however it wasn't much better. The bathroom was still filthy & the beds had the same thrown together look. On a positive note, the location was good & I liked that there was a hotel bar. The room on the other hand was not a pleasant experience.
It's a good thing that we are cheap, cause we got what we paid for. At least that's what I thought until we booked and stayed at a different Motel 6 in Tulsa the following weekend and paid $5 more and it was 90% better. It wouldn't take that much effort to at least make the place look and smell better, and that is without spending money on some decorations. MORE EFFORT and CONCERN for customers, please!
This was our 1st reservation on this date. I made the reservation through your call center. This franchise motel is one of the main reasons that your call center employees need to be provided with a detailed layout. If I had known that the entrance consisted of several steps into a lobby & the "first floor" was accessed by elevator, I would not have booked reservation. With a temporary disability,this motel was not acceptable. To further my irritation, the desk clerk was rude. He indicated luggage carts that we would have to push up ramp, into elevator to reach room. I told him we could not stay & he handed back my card, saying he did not charge. However, I have had to go through disputing the charge that he DID put through. When I contacted call center to make 2nd reservation, she nicely checked to see if he put through charge. Somehow, the charge had gone through. Again, this is not a motel worthy of the Motel 6 name.
