Where to start? The first suite had a dirty fridge, a faulty TV, a malfunction shower and blinds that didn't open. After relocating to another suite we ran into similar issues, plus housekeeping skipped our room. After complaining, the reception staff response was a "Well, what do you want?". Even at a highway motel the management is more service oriented. The much acclaimed Rooftop bar was closed. The Mayo Hotel in Tulsa may have had glory days, but those are definitely behind them.
The room was spacious. I was pleased with its size and layout. The shower, however, smelled of mildew and had a small patch of mold growing along the wall. The rooftop bar was disappointing. I waited to be acknowledged and the bartenders ignored me, first helping the Suits that walked up after I did; I guess it isn't a first-come first-serve bar. Valet was pleasant. The area was nice. Would I stay again? No.
Definitely a nice place to visit.
The staff is great, their hospitality is warm and friendly. The building is a Gem from the bygone age of Art Deco. Food is wonderful, and tasty. The front desk staff is attentive and efficient.
This place is amazing. A very impressive display of Art Deco architecture. Definitely a unique experience. Great aesthetics coupled with modern conveniences and customer service. And it's located in the heart of downtown Tulsa. Many cool things to see and do within walking distance.
Things that are great...
Great place to stay for any shows at the BOK center, which is 3 blocks away. Valet parking is $20/overnight and takes away the hassle of parking. Our suite was huge, clean and modern, bed is very firm and full kitchen was a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.
