Like any zoo, prices are a bit steep, but they have special rates for members. They also have souvenir cups that will get you a discount on refills instead of paying full price every time. For all the hype that it got, I thought there would have been more exhibits. The train is nice to get off of your feet for a while, but you don't see many animals while on it, which to me is kind of missing the point. The carousel is nice, but my daughter was terrified, probably because it was her first time. There was a nice park near concessions and a restaurant where you could get pizza nearby. I have to say though, overall, the layout is really hard to understand unless you're REALLY paying attention to the map. If I didn't revert to the map literally every step, we would have missed a lot of exhibits. I do have to say something that I found extremely nice (even though I didn't realize what it was until I was leaving) was the Family Den. It's basically a building for nursing mothers and mother with children with special needs. A place they could nurse and take there kids to get away from the sensory overload. We also rented a stroller. It was reasonably priced taking into account that you get the deposit back when you return it. I think it worked better on some of the terrain than normal strollers but the strap was too small for my daughter and she almost flipped it on top of herself trying to stand up while moving several times. So, longer adjustable straps please! I also think I'd bring a cushion next time. It was nice to be able to rent one even if it was mostly used to haul her diaper bag. Lol. I feel like I would have liked at least a couple of zookeepers around to answer questions and such though. Literally the only people I saw were at concessions and operating attractions. Overall, it was a pretty nice Zoo. Not what I expected, but worth it for those with kids that love zoos.
Plenty of space so you can get into the zoo quicker. Even on the busy weekend days there is always a decent spot available.
Plenty of space to park and well kept.
I love the Tulsa Zoo Parking. I take my kids there every Sunday.
