This is a great hiking spot for dogs and dog lovers.
There are two parking lots- a dirt "upper lot" at the highest point of the park, and a paved "lower lot". The paved lot has the access to the paved trail for wheelchair access.
Only one trail is fully paved. The rest are dirt trails, about one person wide at most points. This is a technical trail for hikers and runnera, with lots of short, steep climbs, switch backs, and rocky terrain.
There is one water fountain available and one indoor plumbing restroom, both located at the paved parking lot. Plan accordingly with water and bring bottles!
This is a great spot for recreational hikes, trail running, and mountain biking. There are walkers, trail runners , and bikers who share the trail, so be on alert! The pink and yellow trails are not well marked, so be sure to bring or download a map, or stick to to trails closer to the river if you want to be sure of your location and mileage.
Seasonally, it is a great place for late spring and early summer flowers, butterflies and birds. In the fall, there is tons of colorful foliage to enjoy!
This is a beautiful urban wilderness. I love the views and trails. Still learning all.of them
Great trails, nice views, clean restrooms. Could get a little more local sponsorship for events, the trail run and eclipse party had little choice on food trucks/drinks. I feel like more people would show up if they created that environment. Overall, as someone who has hiked there for over 20 years the changes have all been very positive and it's heading in the right direction!
Always a fun place to walk and enjoy the woods. Great parking. Well marked trails. Fun times.
Lots and lots of trails. Great for running, hiking, mountain bikes, trail running. Diversity of views. Great exercise!!! Beginning to get people that leave trash behind and it break bottles. Please help pick up when you walk. Let's leave it better than we found it.
