This place is not at all what they say it is! They send a lot of patients from Iowa to their hospital( me included). They never tell you how long you will stay. The food is disguting (usually cold)...one night all the patients were served rae meatloaf(nasty). The patients aren't treated well, the staff speaks to the patients very disrespectful, and the whole place smells of urine and feces! I have numerous scars on my back because the water pressure in one of the showers was turned so high,
I've had a family member there on more than one occasion. They treat him with respect and dignity and give him the medical care he needs during the worst of times. Thumbs UP for Brookhaven and STAFF
I worked there years ago and I was very happy. Everyone really cared about the patents although at time the patents did have a difficult time fitting in. Trying to change your lifestyle and begin a new start is the Coal of everyone at the private locked facility. Food and service was excellent and we were fully staffed at all times. I worked on call. No complaints.
Staff treat you with the greatest of respect. Therapist and doctors know what they're doing. The best eating disorder clinic in the area.
Dangerous. I trusted them with the care of my father and he ended up with a broken hip. They lied and never reported this incident.He was in pain for WEEKS.Because he could not talk for him self.They had the audacity to say that he came to them with that injury from his last hospital.When it was clear there was a lawsuit coming they destroyed all files and any chance of my father walking again. If you care for anyone NEVER EVER let them come here.They did not heal my father he still can't speak and now is bound to a wheelchair.
It basically ripped my skin off.They also over prescribe a lot of medications to all of the patients, but they will tell you in the beginning, that their goal is to weene the patients off medications....NOT TRUE!!! During the day, you have groups that are basically stuff that you already know, because the groups repeat. I had a lot of my personal belongings come up missing as well.This place is not worth it! Think twice before coming here!
