The only thing I can do is write a review to hopefully help save someone else from making the same mistake of renting from them.
- After an hour of calling back and forth one of the employees said that there really is nothing I can do to argue this charge, even though no one checked it with me there when I returned (which I arrived on time so they could have) and there is no record of exactly what damage was done just a vague all encompassing damage fee note, they claimed something happened to the car and I cannot dispute it even though nothing happened while I was driving it.
- I returned it on time, but had to go back inside of the airport to give my keys back to them and check out because the parking lot kiosk attendant was not there. I gave him my gas receipt and gave them my email address and then he said I was good to go.
- The front desk lady when I picked it up, Michelle, was super sweet and got me on my way fine.
- The next morning I woke up to an email that was 2x the amount of the rental. It just said "Damage Fee" alongside a charge with no notes or anything.
I’ve been a member since November 2016. I was drawn to the low prices. After the first 4 or 5 rentals, I was promoted to express member. The service has been HORRIBLE ever since. The in-store customer service reps are cold, angry, and rude. The telephone reps are unfriendly, irritable, and unhelpful. Everyone seems to hate their job and the people they’re servicing. Then the rates rose to ridiculous amounts. Needless to say, I am officially done with this company. I’d rather pay more if it means better quality service.
NOT WORTH IT!
The bad:
- I have rented from many companies and everyone has their flaws and you get a bad car here and there, but when they claim you did something you didn't do and they charge you for it and they say there's nothing you can do to dispute that... WOW
Arranged to rent a car through them online. Just needed a small car for a few days for a funeral. When I got to the desk the clerk was rude and informed me that I could not rent the car if I had a debit/credit card. Apparently this is a new policy enacted at the Tulsa airport. I have rented in the past with no issues. I looked back at the reservation and no mention was made of the credit card only policy. This was very stressful for me since I was trying to get to my family during a very difficult time. Thank goodness for Uber. They need to clearly state this policy in the future so other people won't be put in an embarrassing situation.
The good:
- I tried calling the Tulsa office multiple times...no answer
Dollar Rental are organized thieves. They pull every trick in the book to extort money off you, and when you try and dispute charges they are unreachable. I am presently in the process of suing them
- I tired calling Dollar Customer Service...they answered after 15 minutes of being on hold, they said they weren't the ones to handle this type of complaint and they transferred me to another number for claims..I stayed on hold till they answered 20 minutes later, but they told me that I should talk to customer service about this (who ironically had referred me over in the first place)
- I got a great deal and so I decided to go with Dollar instead of other companies that I have used previously and trusted.
Rented a car from this location. Process was fast and easy. It was a one way drop off in Dallas. It was a bit pricey and the car smelled like smoke but other than that, no issues.
